Description

This Gado Gado is made with simple ingredients, budget friendly and a 30 minute meal that everyone will eat every time. No matter if you have picky eaters they will rave over this from the first to the last bite. Even kids approved. Naturally vegan and a family favorite for everyone.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb potatoes
  • Gado Gado Sauce, prepared
  • 10 oz green beans
  • 2 cups white cabbage, shredded
  • 1/4 cup sesame oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 red chilis, chopped
  • 1 handful bean sprouts
  • 1 English cucumber, sliced and halved
  • 2 tomatoes sliced
  • 5 oz carrots, shredded

Instructions

  1. Bring water to a boil in a large casserole. Add the quartered potatoes and cook them for 10 minutes. Then give the green beans to the same pot and cook for another 10 minutes until both are soft. Alternatively you can steam the potatoes and beans, which will depend on your steaming device.
  2. While both are cooking, heat a skillet with sesame oil. When it is hot, add the onions and fry them for about 10 minutes until crispy and golden.
  3. Divide potatoes, sliced cabbage, fried onions, shredded carrots, cucumber, tomatoes, bean sprouts, chilis, and green beans in bowls or on plates. Drizzle with a good amount of Gado Gado sauce.
