Quick and easy shake – Tahini Coconut Orange Shake
Here is another stage of my journey into vegan food. Some of my recent posts – the Salted-Cashew Orange-Cranberry Brownies or Hazelnut Goji Dark-Chocolate Cookies, for example – got pretty much attention.
Also, it was very nice to read that people could hardly believe it was vegan from the looks (and taste) of it. But it is amazing what you can do!
Not just because of this, I’m not tiring yet of creating (and eating) vegan food. Today’s recipe is a very simple one. A shake that you can do within 2 minutes and that has a bunch of finger-licking ingredients: coconut milk, tahini, orange juice, … Just give it all to a blender and enjoy a refreshing and nourishing drink. For breakfast, as a snack, quick lunch, after-workout drink – you name it!
- 1 15 oz (400 ml) can coconut milk
- juice of 4 oranges
- 1/3 cup (80 ml) tahini sesame paste
- 1 Tbs orange zest + more for garnish
- 1 tsp cinnamon to taste
- 1 Tbs agave or maple
- Combine all the ingredients in a bowl of a blender and process until smooth. Enjoy!
