What you need for this Gado Gado Sauce recipe:

  • Tamarind concentrate
  • Peanut butter
  • Garlic

  • Lemon juice
  • Coconut milk

Combining everything in the food processor and you have an easy vegan Gado Gado Sauce.

How to make Gado Gado Sauce

In a food processor or blender, add tamarind concentrate, peanut butter, lemon juice, garlic, coconut milk, kecap manis.

Season with a pinch of salt and pepper, then blend until smooth and creamy.

If you don’t have a blender or food processor, you can crush or finely chop the garlic, and whisk everything together with a spatula. However, the result and texture will not be entirely smooth. Also you can use a hand blender: simply combine combine everything in a bowl and process until you get the desired consistency.

Store this Gado Gado Sauce in an airtight container and or give it directly over your meal.

It makes such an amazing condiment, which is even fantastic for meal prep. You can make it in advance, because it will stay fresh in a jar secured with a lid for one week.

  • 3 Tbs tamarind paste
  • 1/3 cup kecap manis
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 3/4 cup + 1 tbs coconut milk
  • juice from one lemon
  • salt, pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a food processor or blender, add tamarind concentrate, peanut butter, lemon juice, garlic, coconut milk, ketzap manis.
