What is in sweet chili sauce
You will need 6 ingredients (not counting salt and pepper):
- ketzap manis (I used gluten free)
- maple syrup
- chili flakes
- minced garlic
- white vinegar
- tapioca starch
How to make sweet chili sauce
In a sauce pan combine chili flakes, maple syrup, minced garlic, ketzap manis, white vinegar, and tapioca starch (premixed with water). Season with salt and pepper and heat until the mix starts to simmer for around 4 minutes until it thickens.
Make sure to whisk constantly with an egg beater. Then, let cool a bit before using. It will stay fresh in glass jar with a lid for around 2 weeks.
