Garlic Fries

Garlic Fries have lots and lots of garlic flavor that seriously no one can get enough of. Tender and crispy these are easy fries that go great with any sauce like Tzatziki Sauce, Comeback Sauce, Cane’s Sauce, Cajun Sauce or anything you can think of. Of course always wonderful with ketchup as well.

Everything starts conveniently with a bag of frozen fries and this comes really in handy. This recipe will truly work out with any fries. You can make your fries homemade if you have the time, but there is absolutely no need for it.

Something I think everyone can relate to that when making Garlic Fries, garlic might burn if you bake it with the fries.

After testing my Garlic Fries recipe in and out I find that you can mix the garlic with olive oil and after baking mix it up with the fries. This way, garlic won’t burn and you have an amazing result in no time.

Reasons to make Garlic Fries

Garlic and fries is a formula that goes great with many things: plain or served with Hamburger Steaks, Salisbury Steak, Mushroom Chicken, Tuna Patties, or Zucchini Fritters.

The flavors really compliment any fries. You can really make a bag of frozen fries taste like gourmet fries in a fancy restaurant. It adds another dimension of flavor.

See my step by step pictures how easy everything is and the result will taste so good.

What you need for this Garlic Fries recipe

Fries: you can use French, crinkle, or thick fries. As always it is a matter of preference. You can also make homemade fries, but let me tell you it will take longer. Time for cutting, soaking, but if you have the time this will be delicious as well.

Garlic is obviously the star of the show and we add lots and lots of fresh garlic to our fries. Lets everything really shine and makes the result so delicious.

I use olive oil, yet you can use any oil that you like. But I find the savory and rich flavor of olive oil really amazing. Keep in mind a milder oil won’t provide so much flavor.

Parsley: I sprinkle my fries with fresh parsley and that adds a lot of freshness and another layering of flavor.

How to make Garlic Fries

In a small bowl mix garlic with olive oil and set aside.

Prepare your fries according to the package directions. Layer fries evenly on your prepared baking sheet with parchment paper. My fries were great after 18 minutes, but that will depend on the used fries and brand.

Transfer fries after baking to a bowl, season with salt and add garlic oil mix. Next add fresh parsley and serve.

Tips and tricks

Garlic Fries are not meant to be for any leftovers. These are seriously fresh best. Leftovers can be practically reheated in the oven or microwave, but it won’t taste as great as fresh.

Instead you can use leftover fries to make something really delicious like Disco Fries.

You can always use less or more garlic according to your preferences. I find this is the perfect amount of garlic flavor and taste always great.
