Best Hamburger Helper

The secret ingredient for my recipe is the vegan cream cheese which I also used in my Creamy Mac and Cheese. It really makes all the difference, comes out so creamy and rich.

All comes together in one pot, so there is not much cleaning up to do.

It is packed with flavor from seasonings which make this recipe so enjoyable and satisfying.

Best of all, you get step-by-step pictures that show you everything from beginning to the final result.

After taking the fried beef out, macaroni are cooked in the same pan with tomato sauce.

Add vegan cheddar and cream cheese and keep stirring until it is all melted.

Finally, transfer the vegan ground beef to back the pan, season with 1/2 tsp pepper and cook on medium heat for 4 minutes more. The Hamburger Helper is ready to serve on plates or in bowls.

I recommend to taste the macaroni noodles. Depending on the brand the cooking time could be a couple of minutes longer.

Note that I only add pepper here, because the vegetable broth is salty enough.

Storage and freezing

You can store leftovers of the Hamburger Helper in an airtight container in the fridge for around 4 days.

Can I freeze this?

Yes, you absolutely can. It will last for 3 months in the freezer using a freezer safe container. Allow to thaw completely before you reheat again.

A large spoon of the Hamburger Helper is lifted from the pan.
