What you need for this Salmon Burgers recipe

Salmon: I use vegan salmon, but that is truly up to you. You can use any salmon that you like according to your preferences. Filets, canned, fresh anything will work.

I cook my Salmon Burgers with oil in a pan, but you can also bake, grill or use your air fryer. Any oil is great: olive, canola, sunflower or whatever you have on hand.

Green onions have an amazing texture and are milder than regular onions. In my gusto that truly compliments our patties so good.

Breadcrumbs: Panko breadcrumbs is what I use, because I really like the texture and crispiness of these breadcrumbs. However you can use any that you like and want just make sure if you make them yourself to finely chop or crumble them.

Sauce: This is what makes any burger better and I add some to the patties and of course further for serving: I use egg free mayo, mix them with dill, garlic and capers for a bit of tang and acidy.

Cook patties in the oven

Preheat oven to 400F.

Distribute patties evenly so that you can make sure they bake up at the same size and time. Bake them for around 15 minutes.

To grill

Place your patties on the BBQ, close the lid and grill them for around 3 minutes each side. If you use a grilling pan instead: add a smear of oil to your grilling pan, wait until hot as well and grill them for 3 minutes side to side.

Leftover, storage and freezing instructions

Leftovers can be used for 4 days and you can reheat them in the microwave, oven or heat them up on low temperature in the pan.

For freezing: let the Salmon Burgers cool completely and wrap them individually or use air tight containers.

You can do this for both cooked and uncooked. Keep in mind to thaw them properly before you reheat and cook them again.
