I think I can say I’m a pretty active person. Not obsessed with sports but I try to do something regularly. I’m convinced it is not only good for your body but it also helps getting your mind cleared. With so much of of our daily life requiring out best performance, it can be hard to focus all the time without breaks. And what better break is there from a highly brain demanding task than exhausting your body physically? For me at least that is a top solution. But of course, you have to make sure that you replenish your body’s resources and to refresh yourself. My new recipe is ideal for that. The High Protein Fruit Shake is not only high in protein and vitamins but it’s also vegan.
Health Benefit of Hemp Powder in the High Protein Fruit Shake
The main ingredients of the High Protein Fruit Shake are coconut water, a good amount of hemp protein powder, and a fresh mango. Hemp protein is a plant-based protein and therefore much better than the usual sport protein powders that one can buy, which are processed and often artificially sweetened and/or flavored. I often have this drink after my workout routine (I’m doing HASfit’s amazing challenges from home, if I have little time). It’s a real power booster!
- 1 mango, peeled and discard
- ice cubes as much as you like
- 2 limes freshly juiced
- ½ to 1 cup (60 – 120 g) hemp protein powder
- 2 Tbs maple syrup or other liquid sweetener
- 10 oz (300 ml) coconut water
- Put all the ingredients in a blender, blend until smooth. Enjoy cold!
