I tried this recipe also with olive and coconut oil instead of cacao butter. But I think that it was not the flavor I wanted. I want the classic garlic butter flavor and the coconut or olive oil were too strong and really masked this way.
Only cacao butter gives this dish this real butter flavor. I tested this recipe with coconut milk as well instead of the rice or oat cream. And again it was too strong and dominated too much. So I can say that only rice or oat cream gives this dish the creaminess without any strong flavors, just like real cream.
I made this dish in its definite version and it was satisfying for friends, and all I saw was wowed faces. No one could believe it was vegan, gluten free, and you can do it in just one pot.
The taste was just so buttery and luscious, so everyone loved it. No one could guess that it was easy, made with just 6 simple ingredients. And you can add some upgrades to it, just the way you like it.
